Paper on the Matterhorn in The Cryosphere

A new paper on Quantifying irreversible movement in steep, fractured bedrock permafrost on Matterhorn (CH) by Samuel Weber, Jan Beutel, J√©rome Faillettaz, Andreas Hasler, Michael Krautblatter and Andreas Vieli was published in The Cryosphere. The paper analyzes the past eight year of measurement data from the Matterhorn crackmeters and proposes an analysis method to separate elastic from plastic deformation as well as a discussion of the origin of such deformation.
